Here they are- the finished pieces. I like the simplicity of how they came out... keepin' it smooth and flowy. I edited them a bit from my initial sketches, but I think it worked well. Phew!

Yep, more eGuide!

It's that time again-- here are my latest sketches for the newest edition of eGuide. I honestly prefer them like this rather than when I colour them. Does anyone ever feel like incomplete work just has that...'umph', that 'character' and life that is completely removed once coloured? I certainly do-- and sometimes I feel like I'm guilty of that. Oh well. :) Happy thoughts, happy thoughts....

Jill...The Hyper One

Jill. Oh, what a hand-full! Jill is 7 years old, with a doll collection bigger than most people 8 times her age! She enjoys orange juice (without the pulp), and never seems to close the fridge door after her- ever. She gets bored easily, and loves running outside and playing with her toy horses. Pink-haired ones, of course. Jill can be a bit of a tom-boy at times, especially when shes trying to impress her friends. She once jumped off from a tree-house and broke 3 fingers-- and carved her name in the tree with the remaining unbroken fingers- just to prove she can. Don't let this pretty face fool you- she's a tough cookie!

Narayani...The Indian One

Here she is...the maker of the best butter chicken in town. Narayani has a golden tooth, literally- but she's too self conscious about it, and prefers not to smile. She's single and loves animals. She has a goat that she loves dearly and reads stories to. Narayani sells her delicious meals from her small home in India. She is also great at telling stories.

Clint....The Mysterious One

Here's Clint. :) I really enjoyed making this one too... hopefully I'll keep getting suggestions for the next ones, though I have a few in mind already. Hope you like him.

Clint -- Always been good with the ladies, yet- he remains single and mysterious. He enjoys watching the city from his small, but cozy apartment window. He enjoys reading the morning paper while sipping on his finely rolled cigarettes. He has a soft spot for his Italian mother, Amadora.

Baxter... The Smart One

Here's a little fella I whippe up. I enjoyed painting this, though to be honest- till about 90% of its completion, I didnt like it. I'm pleased with it now. Thanks to all my buddies who gave me their advice and input. :) You all know who you are. Keep your ideas coming! I'm lovin these!

Baxter. Class president at only 8 years old, He is quite the accomplisher. His favorite subject is math, and he enjoys chess and fine vests-- preferably hand made. He enjoys riding on horses and problem solving. He has a nice bedroom, which he spends hours in studying. One in a while, Baxter enjoys cold milk while watching some cartoons before school.

Luke... The Punkish One

Based on / inspired by an old friend that I haven't seen in 10 years-- (though the info below I just made up) got back in touch recently-- and well, the little innocent blond boy I once knew, has become this teenage dude above. (It's BASED on him, so, its not really a full on likeness study). I like this alot, I'm happy with how it came out. This ones for you buddy! ;)

Luke always liked to stand out. He's a bit of a trouble maker, but is a good guy on the inside. Luke enjoys skate-boarding and hanging outside his favorite malls. Luke has an obsession with funky Converse shoes, and spends hours doing his hair in his broken bathroom mirror. He enjoys hot dogs with plenty of relish and no ketchup.

Granny Fuzz...The Old One

I had some spare time today (of course, since I finished that massive book project!) So I decided to continue my series. Heres "the old one..."

Granny Fuzz is one sassy lady! She has 12 grandkids, and loves spending time with each little one. She is the loudest burper you'll ever meet. Granny Fuzz got her infamous nick-name (Fuzz) back in highschool when her highschool yearbook picture was a little...fuzzier than she had expected. Married 3 times previously, Fuzz finally decided to focus all her love on her kids and their children.

Summer Days

Finally got a chance to finish this. I thought cropping it would mean 1) less work, and 2) a more appealing composition. I think I've done my share of dudes for now, (due to lady demands) I'll be back with a new portrait or painting real soon I hope. Till then, I'll keep posting sketches and ideas, cartoons and skadoodles! ;)
