Miyuki


Well, here she is! :) I asked you guys to give me ideas, and Francisco was the first to do so. So here she is. His little baby. Haha... I love doing these, so please- send me your ideas!

Again: you get to name your baby!

Thanks for visiting my blog. You have nice work here. If you're asking for my feedback, my main comment would be to continue to study and observe light. Try to separate yourself from the subject matter and just see your subject as an abstract puzzle of value shapes. Some of these values will belong to the light family, and the rest to the shadow family. Nothing is ever in between. Some of your paintings have values that are finding themselves in that 'no-mans-land' territory, and therefore not quite reading as strongly as they could be. John Singer Sargent is a great example of how to paint with very few values, yet still create very powerful form. I always look to him, and I urge you to do so if you don't already. Of course, this only applies to paintings. I'm not a linear draftsman at all.
So that's my 2 cents. Above all, keep posting!
