So here's my latest recipe for http://www.theydrawandcook.com/ I went a little Italian for this.. and I'm glad I did so. :) Mmm mm!
Below is actually how my art looks before I take it to Photoshop and texture (butcher) the heck out of it. Something about the clean lines that I love, so I thought I would share this as well. Go on, make it! It's quite tasty!

Another masterpiece Abouz! freaking love the textures. And yeah...textured version is 100000000000 times better (for me).
Too bad I can't eat any of those things :(
Anybody out there wants to switch stomachs with me...anyone? :P
I don't know how you have the patience to keep going with this style...it is unbelievably great. it morphs from cartoon-ish to super sophisticated! LOVELOVELOVE!
It's so interesting to see both versions. I like both for different reasons, but I think the textured version certainly has more depth...with that said, I love simplicity and clean lines, so the bottom image appeals to me as well.
Luckily I don't have to choose between the two!
Awesome stuff sir.
I'm really loving this style you've got going here, sir-so rich and textural. and don't even get me started on the food. I was raised on Italian food and this one has some of my favorite ingredients! great job.
Thanx guys!! :)
Yum! Really interesting to see the illo before you add the texture - what a huge difference between the two! Must take you ages to get it all textured-up. Another really fab piece Abz - great stuff.
You must be really busy! I need to see some of your work! he he he he!
Vanessa, I dont understand. You're on my blog- all my work is there? lol........?
You know what? Your works are my favorite in theydrawandcook.com site. I just went by the site to see if your new piece was already there. I went through all the stuff there and there's no doubt about it...you're good at this! :)
Just thought you would like to know. :P
Bye
I like clean lines too, but the texturizing is very appealing as well, sir :)
Great stuff always man. did you use illustrator for this?
Abz, you just keep blowing me away. You recipe designs are so far my favorites!
Another beautiful tasty treat Abz. Nice one, I look forward to the next...yum! My fav designs on the site too.
This series makes me hungry! Nice stuff!
What a difference all that texture makes, huh? I like the both. Keep up the great work :)
Very cool! Love the textured look.
Man you just keep on rolling with these. Another great one. Thanks for posting both versions. Always nice to see what certain pieces look like before an addition of a different layer.
nice style!!
I think your work is very elegant.
You've made me very hungry! It's brilliant how strong your textureing makes the piece, make I love seeing the raw image too.
Hey thanks for stopping by. Really like your art work. I especialy like the technique you used for this piece. I can tell you put a lot work into it and it was well worth it.
Nice job!
I love to see your recipes over at They Draw and Cook! I'm vegan so I miss out on tasting them, but I think the artwork is wonderful. I'm glad I poppped over here to see your before and after, how interesting that was to see. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work!
Both versions are great! Texture is awesome awesome. But I like clean lines, too. Aaaarrgghh don't make me choose!
Mmmmmm. I want an Italian sub now.
Hey, love your header, too!
It has very good aspect, so much the work how the sandwich Greetings and hugs
Hey, Abz- Thanks for stopping by my blog! Nice stuff you got here. The textured version of the recipe card is gorgeous!!
I really like both versions! What I appreciate about the Photoshop textured one is that had you not shown the vector version, I wouldn't have even known that's where you started...which is something I greatly appreciate! I can't stand being able to peel back the layers of someone's digital art while I'm looking at it. It tells me it's more gimmick and filter than art. And in your case you've managed to create a drawing that far exceeds technique! Very Nice!
Hey Abz, Thanks so much for the comment. For some reason it didn't post, but I appreciate you stopping by ;)
Thank you guys so much-- I really think its so awesome to be connected to all you awesomely talented artists...each with ur own visions and creations. Im flattered you all keep stopping by with such awesome comments!
