Fresco a Italiano

So here's my latest recipe for http://www.theydrawandcook.com/ I went a little Italian for this.. and I'm glad I did so. :) Mmm mm!

Below is actually how my art looks before I take it to Photoshop and texture (butcher) the heck out of it. Something about the clean lines that I love, so I thought I would share this as well. Go on, make it! It's quite tasty!

Another masterpiece Abouz! freaking love the textures. And yeah...textured version is 100000000000 times better (for me).
Too bad I can't eat any of those things :(

Anybody out there wants to switch stomachs with me...anyone? :P

I don't know how you have the patience to keep going with this style...it is unbelievably great. it morphs from cartoon-ish to super sophisticated! LOVELOVELOVE!

It's so interesting to see both versions. I like both for different reasons, but I think the textured version certainly has more depth...with that said, I love simplicity and clean lines, so the bottom image appeals to me as well.

Luckily I don't have to choose between the two!

Awesome stuff sir.

I'm really loving this style you've got going here, sir-so rich and textural. and don't even get me started on the food. I was raised on Italian food and this one has some of my favorite ingredients! great job.

Yum! Really interesting to see the illo before you add the texture - what a huge difference between the two! Must take you ages to get it all textured-up. Another really fab piece Abz - great stuff.

Man you just keep on rolling with these. Another great one. Thanks for posting both versions. Always nice to see what certain pieces look like before an addition of a different layer.

I really like both versions! What I appreciate about the Photoshop textured one is that had you not shown the vector version, I wouldn't have even known that's where you started...which is something I greatly appreciate! I can't stand being able to peel back the layers of someone's digital art while I'm looking at it. It tells me it's more gimmick and filter than art. And in your case you've managed to create a drawing that far exceeds technique! Very Nice!
